FOOD PANTRY
Items most needed by children are provided to food pantries. Members shop for diapers, wipes, formula, breakfast foods and lunch items such as peanut butter, jelly and crackers and juice. Shopping for these items especially in the summer months when children are not receiving meals in school is especially important. In these difficult economic times, it is very challenging for food pantries to keep their shelves stocked and we are grateful for the opportunity to help children in need.
We also provide basic, essential household items such as toilet paper, paper towels, detergent etc. to a Basic Blessings pantry.
Last year, Christ Child Society of Cape May County provided a total of 225 volunteer hours at schools and food banks.
